FAQs

What is a Licensed Professional Counselor?

A Licensed Professional Counselor is a mental health professional that is licensed by the State(s) in which they practice. They have undergone a prescribed course of training and supervision and are responsible to pursue ongoing continuing education. The counselor is responsible to only provide mental health counseling that they have been trained to provide. All licensed professional counselors in the State of South Carolina abide by a strict code of ethics.

What can I expect?

You can expect that counseling will delve into your life history, both your past and recent history. You can expect that, with some limitations, what you share in counseling will stay between you and your counselor. You can expect to collaborate with your counselor to create a plan to reach your goals.

Whether you choose to meet in person from the safety and comfort of your home or online through our HIPAA compliant secure video connection you can expect your counselor’s full attention and compassion.

Our Commitment to you

Our primary goal is to help you reach your mental health and well-being goals. We will always give you information about diagnoses, treatment plans and the counselor’s educational training and specializations. You will be the primary decision maker when it comes to what we do and don’t do in counseling.
